What is the New York Gaming Association?

Formed in 2011, NYGA represents nine gaming facilities, which are located across the state of New York.

How many gaming facilities are there in New York State?

There are 22. In addition to NYGA’s seven members, there are seven Native American casinos and three more Native American “Class II” bingo halls, as well as four full scale casinos.

Are NYGA members regulated by the state?

Yes. The New York State Gaming Commission regulates NYGA members.

How are NYGA members taxed?

A 2001 New York State law authorized Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs) and set in statute the percentage of revenues to be dedicated to education and other categories.
