Sportech has launched a new online horse race betting platform for New York’s Finger Lakes Racing Association, a subsidiary of Delaware North Companies.
In operation since 1962, the Finger Lakes racetrack in upstate New York provides live thoroughbred horse racing as well as gaming, which it introduced in 2004.
The racetrack has now moved into the online betting space with the launch of its advance deposit wagering (ADW) platform in partnership with Sportech Racing and Digital, a subsidiary of the UK-listed operator and betting services supplier Sportech.
Sportech will also provide additional services including live operator telephone wagering, customer service, technical support, customer relationship management and marketing, as well as complete operations, planning and implementation of the interactive wagering service.
All bets placed through the site are commingled with partnered host track pari-mutuel pools.
Chris Riegle, president and general manager of Finger Lakes Racing Association said: “We were interested in extending interactive wagering channels – internet, phone and mobile – to our guests through FingerLakesBonusBets.com and this arrangement with Sportech Racing and Digital allows us to offer this state-of-the-art service.
“We have a high degree of confidence in Sportech to provide our guests the best possible interactive wagering experience.”
Mark Gregory, managing director of Sportech Digital & iGaming, said that Finger Lakes Racing Association was a valued member of the group of 29 customers the company supports.
“It’s clear that the model we offer is a compelling one that allows our customers to take advantage of interactive channels while also achieving efficiencies and maximizing quality, both in terms of technology and customer support,” he said.
Earlier this year, Sportech launched an interactive betting platform for another New York racetrack, Yonkers Raceway. The eBet-powered EmpireCityBets.com was developed in partnership with Saratoga Harness Racing.
