Pop culture and comic fans were in for a treat Sunday.
Tioga Downs Casino hosted the River Road Expo Convention — one of the biggest free comic conventions in our area.
Hundreds of fans young and old came out getting their comic fix. Some writers and artists include Dave Bullock, Brandon T. Snider, and Alex Sanchez.
Organizers say this convention was their biggest turnout yet.
Jared Aiosa, organizer, said, “People hanging out with published artists and writers, and up and coming artists and writers we have vendors, cosplay, people dressed up, it’s just a very good time and its all free.”
Tom Peyer, writer, said,”It’s great to meet the fans, the fans here are amazingly friendly and appreciative.”
The River Road Expo has been ongoing for 5 years now..the first was back in 2012.
The massive event is held twice a year — once in the spring and again in the fall.
