Resorts World Casino New York City began 2013 on the right foot in January, recording its second straight month of $1.2 billion played, according to figures recently released by the New York Lottery. With gross gaming revenues of $59.1 million in the month of January, the third highest in the brief history of the facility, Resorts World showed no sign of slowing down from its record-breaking first year.

“The first month of 2013 could not have been better, as New Yorkers and tourists alike proved yet again that they’re thrilled to have a world-class gaming experience right here in Queens,” said Michael Speller, President of Resorts World Casino New York City. “With a fantastic first year in the books, we’re thrilled to have started 2013 in such great fashion and look forward to a hugely successful year.”

After sending more than $300 million to the state education fund in 2012, Resorts World continued that trend in January, delivering more than $26 million to education coffers for the second consecutive month.

With nearly $700 million in gross gaming revenue in 2012, Resorts World Casino was the single highest grossing slot revenue generator in the nation. Building on that success, the casino is continuing to make the ultimate entertainment experience New York City even more accessible. With the introduction of the free Jamaica Station Shuttle Bus, and the opening of the covered walkway to the A Train in 2013, getting to Resorts World Casino’s daily entertainment and gaming options is going to be easier than ever before.

Located at Aqueduct Raceway in Queens, adjacent to JFK International Airport, Resorts World Casino and is more easily accessible by public transportation than ever before. In addition to the Q37 bus stop on property and the A Train stop at the North Conduit subway station, Resorts World Casino offers a shuttle to and from the facility for guests arriving from Jamaica Station– ensuring that the casino is just minutes, not hours away.
